Les Jeunes Amies Bal de la Symphonie

Twenty senior high school members of Les Jeunes Amies de la Symphonie were presented at the Baton Rouge Symphony League’s annual Bal de la Symphonie on November 26th, 2016, at the Crowne Plaza. The “Young Friends of the Symphony” were recognized for their volunteer service to the Baton Rouge Symphony Orchestra during their four years of high school.

Welcoming guests were BRSL president, Jan Wells along with ball chair, Paula Davis and co-chair Brandi Rinaudo. The debutantes were introduced by master of ceremonies John B. Davis II and presented with a silver tussie mussie holding red roses by BRSO executive director, P. Carrigan Byrd, Jr.

The LJA seniors are Gabrielle Alyse Bella, daughter of Cheryl and Timothy Bella; Claire Marie Bellanger, daughter of Tiffany and Drake Bellanger; Kaily Elizabeth Belleau, daughter of Erin and Christopher Belleau; Claudia Maree Bradford, daughter of Anne Marie and Bryant Bradford III; Chloe Ashbrooke Callerame, daughter of Cheryl and Kevin Callerame; Cassidy Eve Dickinson, daughter of Travis Dickinson and the late Julia Dickinson; Melinda Jane Gray, daughter of Jennifer and James Gray; Chandler Elise Hendrick, daughter of Kathy and Neal Hendrick; Nina Claire Jalenak, daughter of Maia and Jay Jalenak; Claire Elise Landreneau; daughter of Amy Landreneau and the late Fraser Landreneau, and stepdaughter of Eddie Stewart; Sophie Emerson Landry, daughter of Shannon and Kevin Landry; Abigail Marie Livingston, daughter of Sarah and J. Craig Livingston; Lindsey Grace Phillips, daughter of Amy and Mark Phillips; London Olivia Pricer, daughter of Michelle and Tensey Pricer; Baldwin Grace Rice, daughter of Cynthia and Jeffrey Rice; Claire Marie Risher, daughter of Melinda Frantz and James Risher; Gabrielle Elyse Rotolo, daughter of Stacy and Robert Rotolo; Anna Childs Stolzenthaler, daughter of Jennifer and Charles Labouisse, and Anna and Stanford Stolzenthaler IV; Grace Catherine Wester, daughter of Nicole and Kenneth Wester; and Claire Elizabeth Wigley, daughter of Kim Wigley and Brian Wigley.

Music for the presentation was provided by members of the Baton Rouge Symphony Orchestra. In BRSL tradition, the symphony ensemble played Moon River as the first special waltz for the LJAs with their fathers. Following dinner, the guests were entertained by The V-Tones.

Symphony League members that assisted with the ball include LJA advisor Louann Bombet and LJA chairs Anne Marie Bradford and Kelly Williams. Also assisting on the committee were Monica Canova, Lauren Hawthorne, Angelle Hebert, Andrée Hidalgo, Edy Koonce and Mary Jane and Madison Dillenberger. Susan Love was the presentation coordinator and Tranane Lissard instructed Les Jeunes Amies with the choreography.

The ballroom was decorated with 30 Frasier firs adorned with white lights donated by Kristy and Mitch Mayes of Louisiana Nursery Home and Garden Showplace. The following day, the trees and over 700 ornaments hand made by Les Jeunes Amies were donated to local charities including Volunteers for America, Potter’s House, Connections for Life and the Society of St. Vincent de Paul. The beautiful table centerpieces consisting of white hydrangeas and roses accented with pine and golden magnolia leaves were donated to local senior centers. The floral arrangements were delivered by the Les Jeunes Amies freshmen members and their sponsors.
